On Friday, August 11, 2023, Emotion, Sharing, and Dialogue were the key elements that characterized the meeting between the CYF, the young participants of the White Night of Youth in Mola di Bari, and the Ala di Riserva Association.
The renowned RAI journalist, Giacomo Susca, hosted the event titled “Young National Award of the Year,” guiding us through the presentation of the Creasys Youth Foundation. The presentation began with a screening of the CYF Project “Creative Generation” video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVDgEwo6EyM), which sparked a series of questions from the audience and curious young people eager to learn more about our versatile organization.
In the presence of Mayor Giuseppe Colonna and Deputy Mayor Angelo Rotolo of the Municipality of Mola di Bari, we engaged in a productive discussion centered around the opportunities that the Apulian territory offers to young individuals who choose to remain in the South. Several prominent local authorities were part of this discussion, including Gianna Elisa Berlingerio, the Director of the Department of Economic Development of the Puglia Region; Camilla Murgia, the Councillor for Kindness and Growth of the Municipality of Pesaro; and Luca della Godenza, the Mayor of the Municipality of Castel Bolognese.
With great emotion, we participated in this evening event, during which the National Young Youth Award of the Year was presented to the young people of Emilia-Romagna. They were recognized for their courage, determination, and for their role in establishing a strong chain of solidarity, particularly in the face of a tragic and painful scenario that had affected their region not too long ago. Thomas Cappelli, a young volunteer who exemplified how young people can make a difference, received the award. These young individuals are the initiators and future mentors of positive change in today’s society.
Together, we can aim high, and it is only through unity that we can breathe life into seemingly impossible endeavors, echoing the theme of the White Night of Youth 2023.
This embodies the spirit of the Creasys Youth Foundation: to build a network that supports young people and guides them on a journey of personal and professional growth. It equips them to face life’s challenges with the necessary determination and energy, to continue nurturing values, gaining experience, and becoming role models in both their personal and professional lives.
